Terms and Conditions
Thank you for using our web site. All members of
the Baby2000 team aim to provide quality products, product knowledge
and outstanding customer service to all our customers. Here are the
conditions of sale so that you are aware of all the important details
before you place your order. We provide products and services through
our web site on the basis of these terms and conditions. In return for
using and benefiting from our web site you agree to provide true,
accurate and current information about yourself where required.
We have taken great care to check all
specifications; weight, colours, descriptions, sizes etc. However, our
suppliers reserve the right to alter specifications and make
improvements to their products without notice. Therefore all details are
to be taken as approximate.
Prices and Payment
The price you pay is the price displayed on this
website at the time we receive your order, payment methods are as
Most major Credit/Debit cards and PayPal
payments can be taken online using the secure VBV and Master Card Secure
Code technologies. Please be aware that we do not accept American
Express Credit Cards.
(Please note that when you purchase any Jane
Travel System, the pushchair seat unit is supplied free of charge. All
you pay for is the chassis and car seat).
Items which are ordered specially (either specific colour or specific product) are non returnable.
Delivery Times and Charges
We operate a 24 hour (Monday to Friday) courier
service which means you should normally receive your product the next
working day. You must order before 12 noon for this to be the case.
However, in some cases due to circumstances beyond our control delivery
can take up to 3 working days and we will notify you of this when
possible. This applies to the UK MAINLAND & NON REMOTE AREAS ONLY.
For orders being sent to remote areas including
Central & Northern Scotland, all islands off the UK mainland,
Northern and Southern Ireland and other European countries the delivery
time is usually up to 21 working days (excluding weekends and bank
There are normally additional courier charges for areas outside the UK.
All courier deliveries must be signed for
by the customer or a family member at the designated address given at
the time of ordering and identification of the card holder needs to be
shown (e.g. Driving Licence, Passport or a Utility bill). Please note
that some smaller items may be sent via the Royal Mail by Recorded
Delivery and will need to be signed for on delivery. Items sent by Royal
Mail usually take 1 to 4 working days to arrive.
Our postage costs are as follows;
£4.99 on orders up to £36.99
Free of charge on orders £37.00 and above
These prices are for U.K. mainland only.
Postage to Southern Ireland is normally £25.00
for 1 parcel and £15.00 for each box thereafter other European countries
vary. Customers in Ireland and Europe may be asked to further verify
their address if requested. If your order requires more than one parcel
to be sent we will contact you with the additional postage cost prior
to sending your order and you will need to pay this on a debit card over
the phone. It is also possible to pay via Paypal.
If additional boxes need to be sent which will
incur an additional courier charge we will contact you prior to
dispatching your order. The additional postage will need to be paid
prior to posting. It would be advisable to contact us in advance if you
are ordering a Travel System or more than one item to obtain a quote.
In the event that you are not in at the delivery
address when the courier attempts to deliver, the driver will leave a
card with instructions to call the depot, which must be responded to
within 2 days. You can arrange to collect your parcel from the couriers
local depot (you must take photo I.D. with you such as a passport or
driving licence). The parcel will be kept at the depot for a maximum of
five days before it is returned to Baby2000. In this instance you are
liable for the courier charges incurred. If you then require Baby2000
to resend your order there will be a re-delivery charge to pay prior to
posting. This charge will depend on the weight of the parcel. If you
cancel your order at this stage the cost of the return delivery will be
deducted from your refund.
*Anti-fraud security measure:
will only deliver the goods purchased from Baby2000 to the billing
address of the card holder when the purchase is funded with a Credit or
Debit card. If the purchase is funded using PayPal we will only send
goods to the "confirmed" address on your PayPal account. If we receive
an order with an "unconfirmed" Paypal address we will refund the amount
debited and cancel the order without prior notice.
Out of Stock Items
If an item that you order is out of stock (or
pre-order) we will contact you as soon as possible (usually within 24
hours Monday to Friday) and let you know how long it is likely to take
for your order to be fulfilled. Then once the goods arrive in stock we
will notify you that they are being dispatched. Alternatively you have
the right to cancel your order on notification that the item is out of
stock and a full refund will be given no later than 30 days after. Some
items are for logistical reasons not available to dispatch for 5 to 10
days and we always ensure the relating product page gives this
As an Internet Consumer you have the right to
cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods, thus giving you
time to inspect and consider your purchase. Your cancellation notice
must be received in writing via fax or e-mail and your order number
(B2-?..) or the date of purchase must be quoted so that we can identify
your order promptly. You must take reasonable care of the product, and
its packaging whilst it is in your possession. Any labels attached
either internally or externally to the product must still be attached.
The product, in its original packaging, securely repackaged, must be
returned at the expense of the consumer. Your original order payment
will then be refunded as soon as possible (at the latest within 30
working days). Items which have been used will be returned to the
purchaser at their expense. Please note this includes orders which are
cancelled after despatch has taken place.
Please note that any items not correctly
packaged or not in the original packaging will be subject to a
re-packaging charge. This will be calculated on an individual basis.
Please be aware that pushchairs should only be
tried indoors to decide whether they are suitable. If used outdoors
during this time the cost of new wheels will be deducted from your
Warranty and Refund's
In the unlikely event you incur a problem with
the product we have supplied, please contact Baby2000 immediately by
phone, e-mail or fax (see Contact Page). Unless you have been authorised
to return a product the package will be refused.You will be required to
provide proof of purchase such as your order number which starts B2
or the date of purchase so that we can locate a copy of your order. Please note that Baby2000 staff only speak English.
NOTE THAT FOAM HANDLES ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY - IF IT IS
DAMAGED WHEN THE ITEM IS FIRST TAKEN FROM THE BOX PLEASE CONTACT US
If it is decided that the goods need to be
returned for inspection, this will be at the purchaser's expense.
Normally, products are sent to our suppliers for inspection and if it is
found that a manufacturing fault exists this will be rectified at our
(or our supplier's) expense and any carriage costs incurred will be the
responsibility of the consumer.
The purchaser needs to be aware that any items
being returned for inspection must be securely packaged in the original
packaging. Baby2000 will not accept any items that have not been
correctly packaged or that we have not authorised. Obviously Baby2000
accept no responsibility for items damaged in transit.
At all times, we consider our supplier's
decision in relation to complaints as final, as they have more
experience in these matters than ourselves. In the event that a fault
develops which is not due to a manufacturing fault, the cost of repair
and transport will be at the purchaser's expense. We reserve the right
to send spares to purchasers if their purchase is more than 28 days
old. Should we send replacement parts you will need to keep the old parts
for a period of 3 months or to send them back to us if requested.
European customers (residing outside the U.K.):
If a product is returned to us for inspection or repair the full cost of
the delivery and return courier is to be paid by the customer, not
Baby2000. We offer no refund even if the item is under warranty. The
delivery of any replacement or spare part must also be paid for by the
customer, not Baby2000. Please note that Baby2000 staff only speak
Purchaser's are expected to use their products
strictly in line with the manufacturer's recommendations. Baby2000 is
not responsible for any damage or injury to the purchaser or any third
party using this product.
We are well aware that consumers are often
concerned about their details being supplied to third parties and would
confirm that on no occasion does this occur via the members of this
group. We hold on file purely the minimum details required to make
transactions and provide relevant details to credit / debit card
companies (banks) and our transport companies as per their trading
conditions. We do not pass details of our customers to any other party,
nor do supplying members pass details of customers to other members of
the group. Details of customers are kept on secure files and include
name, address, contact phone number etc. and possibly credit or debit
card details. These are kept for the minimum time required by law or
deemed relevant by our partners (which ever is the shorter). We do not
send e-mails to our customers other than what is relevant to a requested
order. For our customer's convenience, cookies are used on this site.
All products ordered and delivery costs (if
applicable) must be paid for in full (and authorized) prior to goods
being dispatched. If there is a problem with processing your payment we
will contact you as soon as possible.
Right of Refuse to Supply & Price Pledge
Baby2000 maintain the right to refuse
to supply items to individuals or companies at our discretion. Our
"Price Pledge" policy is offered without any guarantee that we will
always match or beat a competitors price and Baby2000 will take into
account the competitor's delivery costs so to ensure a "like for like"
Discounts to individuals and companies are at
the discretion of the Directors & authorised staff at Baby2000 and
any decision is final.
Reward packs are supplied free of
charge at our discretion and are subject to availability. We reserve the
right to include products of a equal or higher value as a substitute
item. Reward packs are not given if we are "price matching" or if
another promotion applies.
